Bankruptcy Intro (“BI”) is a commercial website whose dual objectives are to educate consumers about the nature, parameters and effects of the U.S. Bankruptcy laws, and to provide a forum for attorneys engaged in the practice of Bankruptcy law to advertise, and thereby make contact with new clients who may have legal needs in that area. Attorneys pay BI fixed periodic fees in exchange for being on our panels. When consumers fill out application forms and submit them to BI, we pass that information on to all the Attorneys on our panel who are located in the same geographical area as the consumer. The Attorneys are then free to contact the Consumer and offer him or her legal advice and/or representation in exchange for some fee to be agreed upon between them. BI does not receive any portion of that fee. The consumer is free to select any, or none, of the attorneys on the BI panel who contact him or her. By submitting an application form to BI, the consumer explicitly requests and consents to being contacted by attorneys on BI’s panel. BI warrants only that the attorneys on its panel are at the time of joining said panel, duly licensed in the states in which they practice, and have expressed an interest in representing consumers in Bankruptcy matters; and BI makes no other warranties or representations whatsoever regarding their qualifications. Selection of an attorney on the BI panel, investigation of the attorney’s background, reputation and/or the parameters of his or her errors and omissions insurance, are the sole responsibility of the consumer; and NOT of BI. By submitting an application form to BI, the consumer expressly waives, and releases BI in advance from, any claims of any nature related to the qualifications and performance of an attorney on the BI panel, other than the lawyer’s possession at the time of his contracting with BI, of a valid license to practice law. The content of the BI website and all articles contained therein are general introductions to the subject matter, and are not intended to and do not constitute legal advice. BI urges all consumers to consult with a licensed attorney before making any decision regarding any legal matter, including but not limited to the filing of a Bankruptcy proceeding; and assumes no liability for any consumer’s failure to do so. BI assumes no responsibility whatsoever for any content of any blog posted on its site. By continuing to read and making any other use of this site or BI’s services, Consumer is consenting to being bound by all the foregoing Disclaimers.
